The pow wow was a wonderful display of community, tradition, and diversity. I wasn't able to stay for the whole day, just the beginning, and that was when the children were dancing. It was lovely to see the youngest continuing these traditions. Dancers from various nations all made their way around the circle and these are some of the images I captured.
The power present in the movements of these dancers, the pride, and the dedication to their culture was palpable as they moved around the meadow. The constant and rhythmic sounds of drums guided the dancers' steps while they defied the summer's heat.
